Dr. Jerome V. Pisano has received three degrees from Loyola University, Chicago: a bachelor degree in biology in 1968, his D.D.S. in 1972 and, after serving two years as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, an M.S. in Oral Biology and his specialty certificate in endodontics in 1976.
He taught at Loyola University School of Dentistry as an Associate Clinical Professor in the post graduate department of endodontics for 19 years, until the school’s closing in 1993. Dr. Pisano is a contributing author to three editions of the textbook Endodontic Therapy. Continuing his education through organizational meetings and courses is an ongoing process.
Dr. Pisano has served as President of the American Association of Endodontists and Vice-President and Trustee of the American Association of Endodontists Foundation. He also has served as President of the Northwest Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society, President of the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, President of the Arcolian Dental Arts Society and was the first President and founding member of the Illinois Association of Endodontists. Among his honors are Fellowship in the International College of Dentists and Fellowship in the American College of Dentists. In addition to membership in the above associations and societies, he is a member of the American Dental Association and the Schaumburg Study Club. Dr. Jerome Pisano has been and is currently a staff member at Alexian Brothers Medical Center since 1976, acting as an endodontic consultant.
Dr. Pisano and his wife, Noreen, have two children: Matthew V. Pisano, M.D. and Christine Jahaske. They are the proud grandparents of five.
Besides the philanthropic work he does for the AAE Foundation, he enjoys opera, hunting, water skiing and is an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan.
